For the 2nd year in a row, Exposure: An Artistic Collaboration has exceeded expectations!
Exposure is a fashion show and open mic event used to showcase local talent within the Tallahassee area. This event is used to ‘expose’ models, musicians, fine artist, and fashion designers to the public.
Good music, good food, and good people!
Exposure is produced by A Girl With Style, a blog that explores fashion, beauty, health and motivation. Along with event partner Whimpy Wild Originals a custom leather designer.
Exposure was held Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Railroad Square located in Tallahassee, FL.
If you missed it, you missed out!
The urban-grunge Railroad Square warehouse gave the event a fun and funky feel. This allowed guest to get comfortable as they watched local talents take the runway and stage.
Guest were able to experience different fashions from five local designers consisting of street, formal, and even thrifted wear.
Each designer showcased a completely different look than the next.
Here’s a snippet of the designers and what they brought to the runway:
Whimpy Wild Originals is owned by Sharon Saunders is a retired FAMU administrator who has been sewing since she was 13 years old. Saunders creates fun, unique and handmade quality leather handbags and accessories. She is located in Railroad Square in Tallahassee, FL.
J2COUTURE, LLC is owned and operated by Candance J. This hair, cosmetics, and fashion company is a force to be reckoned with. They offer quality hair and cosmetics and serve looks in their boutique style clothing. They are ‘The Essence of Beauty and Fashion”.
Shaniya founded and created Trendi Apparell because of her inspiration behind the lack of self-confidence she feels the world lacks. Her goal is to help people gain self-confidence in the fashion world as it can be very opinionated. Trendi Apparaell is not just a clothing line but a movement to empower those who may lack self- confidence.
Thrifted_Hands is owned and operated by Megan Grandberry. This fashion packed clothing company takes thrifted clothing and accessories and turns them in fashionable pieces. Thrifted Hands not only resells unique thrifted items but also offers style sessions and thrift store shopping tips. Thrifted Hands’ goal is to bring “Minimal Cost , Maximum Style “ to your wardrobe.
Eunique_St Clair is owned and operated by Eunique Skepple a local Tallahassee resident who has a background in fashion and marketing. This clothing line offers ‘unique’ items that can enhance any girls closet. Eunique St Clair graced the runway in an all white scene. Her pieces caught the eyes of many at Exposure.
