Exposure: An Artist Collaboration
To all Kings and Queens with a dream: you have missed a treat to meet and connect with a variety of entrepreneurs, artists, and other creatives while being entertained by aspiring talent and awed by creative fashions from fabulous designers. I was humbled to walk among those who have realized and acted on their dreams. Its inspiring to see individuals joining collectively to continue to build and network while delivering an amazing production right here in Tallahassee, FL!
A GIRL WITH STYLE’s very own, Bianca Belabre has paired up with the effervescent Sharon Saunders of Whimpy Wild Boutique to deliver an artistic collaboration to remember. In case you did indeed miss it… Do not fret. I am here with the latest on the scoop to fill you in!
Take it from our boss-woman of A GIRL WITH STYLE, who with determination built a brand from a dream. She found the confidence to push her talents beyond her comfort zone and created opportunities that exposed her as a contender through immense networking. Using her skills as a Social Media Marketer, she collaborated alongside several other dreamers and doers to show others that they can do the same through the power of social media. What better way to get exposed!
We must make that one solitary step out on faith! Do not allow “what ifs” to haunt you for the rest of your life. Be confident in your abilities!
The EXPOSURE Fashion Show served as a platform to promote artist collaborations that encourages us all to work together and present an amazing production to the community.
This event was an empowering experience to see the diversity among the hustle and bustle in the audience and participating members that were “behind-the-scenes”. Positive vibes were evident on the faces of everyone complete with smiles surrounded by lively chatter in anticipation of a dynamic show.
Before the show kicked up into full swing, VIP guests had the incentive to enjoy wine and a selection of hors d’oeuvres. All guests were given free range to explore surrounding areas that were full of activity! Live art was on display! Vendors were also out in support of this event complete with jewelry, garments, and more! Local independent artist that took center stage were artists Vonzel Desean, Eric Day, Marcus Benjamin, and our song bird of the night Aisha Saunders.
RIP THE RUNWAY!
The catwalk setting was intimate and very edgy. The audience had top-of-the-line access to the latest in couture fashions from each designer.
Our local designers that ripped the runway were:
- Skunk Punk
- Century’s Design Closet
- Trendi Apparell
- Kuumba Creations
- Distressed by Jas
- Leave it to Lesia
The reaction from most spectators with each reveal, were much like my own…
We were gagging from the extravagance and unique creativity of each piece that made its way down the runway. Catcalls and much applause were given as the models gave us life by serving us with their signature walks and poses.
The EXPOSURE fashion show brought the cool flavor of New York to our Florida heat! Overall this event was all I expected and more! Stay tuned! Something this good must have a comeback.
